William Wilberforce Chewa

William was born in Guruve. He started Sculpting at the tender age of 13. Both of his parents were sculptors. By the time he was going to school, he was helping his parents wash and polish the sculptures.

William moved to Harare from Guruve in 2007. He now works in Hatfield in Harare. At his workshop he works alongside his brother John Chewa. Both are second generation Artists. 

William's sculptures focus upon intimate relationships and embraces the love between couples and families. His work has been exhibited in Germany, Netherlands and the Uk.
